Author Biography
Sally Hughes Smith began writing this book with her four children on a family car trip several years ago. An artist known for her vibrant paintings celebrating the wonder and beauty of her surroundings, she has had numerous one-woman shows. Her works are in public and private collections across the U.S. and abroad. A full-time mother and artist, Sally also spends time working on community projects and riding her horse at Middleton Place. She lives with her husband, a pediatric surgeon, and their family in the city she loves so much. You guessed it—Charleston!
